Block of the Month
Tarheel Quilters Guild's Block of the Month program gives members a chance to practice quilting skills, try new block designs, explore different color combinations, and participate in a shared guild activity.
Each month members receive a block pattern, color guidance, instructions, and a deadline for turning in completed blocks. Block of the Month projects are a fun way to learn, stay involved, and see how different fabrics and color choices can change the look of a quilt block.
Block information is shared at guild meetings, in the newsletter, on the website, and through member communication.

Fat Quarter Activities
Tarheel Quilters Guild's Fat Quarter activity is a fun way for members to share fabric and add variety to their stash.
Each month, members who would like to participate bring one fat quarter that matches the monthly color or theme. Fat quarters should be placed in the designated bag at the membership table, and participants should sign the sheet when they drop off their fabric.
At the end of the activity, one member from the sign-up sheet will be selected to win all of the fat quarters collected that month.
Members are encouraged to check the newsletter, meeting announcements, or website for the current monthly fat quarter theme.
This month's fat quarter theme:
coral and yellow, inspired by bright, cheerful colors that bring energy, excitement, and fun to quilting projects

Secret Quilter
The Secret Quilter activity is a fun way for members to encourage one another throughout the year with small surprises, thoughtful gifts, and quilting friendship.
Members who choose to participate are matched with another member and secretly bring small items, notes, or quilting-related treats based on that member's interests. This activity is meant to be simple and cheerful.
Secret Quilter forms and participation details will be shared at meetings or through guild communication.

UFO Challenge
The UFO Challenge is a fun way for members to finish those unfinished projects waiting in their sewing rooms.
A UFO, or “unfinished object,” must be a project that was started before the current year. Members may enter one or more UFO projects into the challenge.
To participate, members pay $1.00 per UFO and fill out one raffle ticket for each project entered. The money collected throughout the year goes into the UFO Challenge pot.
In December, one raffle ticket will be drawn, and the member whose ticket is selected will win the entire pot.
This activity is a fun way to stay motivated, finish older projects, and cheer each other on throughout the year.
Show and Tell
Show and Tell is one of the highlights of Tarheel Quilters Guild meetings. Members are invited to bring finished quilts, quilt tops, blocks, works in progress, challenge pieces, and other sewing or quilting projects to share with the group.
This is a wonderful way to celebrate member creativity, gather inspiration, ask questions, and encourage one another. Whether a project is large or small, traditional or modern, finished or still in progress, we enjoy seeing what our members are creating.
Members who would like to participate may bring their project to the meeting.
Scholarship Program
Tarheel Quilters Guild supports learning and participation through scholarship opportunities when available. Scholarship guidelines explain eligibility, requirements, deadlines, and how members may apply.
